Public browsing

The website has no registration form, sets no cookies and has no advertising trackers. We do not sell visitor data or build advertising profiles.

Hosting

The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. in the United States. To deliver and protect the website, Netlify receives technical request information, such as IP addresses and browser information, and keeps it in server logs for a limited time. This information may be processed in the United States. The transfer is covered by Netlify’s participation in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses in Netlify’s data processing agreement.

Website analytics

We use Plausible Analytics to measure visits, pages viewed, referral sources, approximate location, browser and device types, outbound-link clicks and file downloads. This helps us understand and improve the website. Plausible does not use cookies or browser storage. According to Plausible, raw IP addresses and browser identifiers are not stored; they are used to derive statistics and a visitor identifier that changes daily. Analytics data is processed and stored in the EU. See Plausible’s data policy for details.

Cookies and browser storage

The website does not set cookies. It shows the page in your browser’s language. If you pick another language from the menu, that choice is kept in session storage under hanska.locale only while the browser tab is open. When you close the information notice, that is stored in local storage under hanska.noticeDismissed so the notice is not shown again until you clear your browser data. Neither value is sent to us. The website remains usable if storage is blocked.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive the contact details and information you choose to send. Our email is provided by Proton AG in Switzerland, a country the European Commission recognises as providing adequate data protection. We use this information to respond and to arrange requested business services. Please do not send sensitive personal information or worker identity documents in an initial inquiry.

Purpose and retention

We process personal data to take requested steps towards a contract, to meet legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in business communication and keeping the website secure. Netlify, Plausible and Proton process only the information needed to provide their services. We keep correspondence and business records only as long as needed for these purposes and as required by law. Provider logs follow each provider’s own retention periods.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, or object to processing. Contact hanska@hanska.ee. You may also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate.
